One Back Home, One Still Away

Ugh. What a night. My youngest got terribly homesick at her first sleep-away camp and we had to pick her up last night. Poor baby. We got home at 1am, got to sleep at 3am and my husband was up at 5 and off to work for a big presentation he had to give. What a trooper. We are Fred Flintstone tired. (that means we have toothpicks in our eyes trying to keep the lids open).

My odest is still away and I haven't heard anything. They say "no news is good news" but I'm still worried. In reality, she's probably running the place by now. She's sort of like Mom that way.

Oh, some great news today. My genetic test for the BRCA gene came back NEGATIVE. That's really, really good. Phew, my last nailbiter. Perhaps things are turning around after a lousy 6 months.

I'm so glad my little girl is home again. So much for being foot loose and fancy free. Maybe it's overrated anyway.
