FYI...O-M-G!!

I can't stand it. You know how they say 40 is the new 30. Well in the case of kids, it's going in the wrong direction because I'm certain that 11 is the new 17. Help! My eleven year old is a great kid but she's already doing the teenager stuff that I thought I had a couple more years to prepare for - sleeping in, saying "FYI" and "OMG" all the time, spending ridiculous amounts of time downloading music on her iPod, wanting to shop all the time. I'm not ready. I'm just not ready!!

And the Christmas list doesn't have a single item on it that's under $50. So, any advice or should I just back slowly into a knife since that will be less painful than enduring the next several years. Be honest if you've been there. I can take it.
