Let's be honest...school vacation is over tomorrow and isn't there a part of you that wants to don a party hat and dance around the house naked tomorrow yelling "whoa"???? Okay, maybe it's just me but I'm sort of relieved to have the official end of the holiday season with everyone back to work and school, even if it just means getting back to a normal routine again. I always feel like this is the time of the year when I can breathe again, have just a little less to do and regroup a little.
Am I alone or is anyone else getting ready to bust out the party hat???
P.S. We survived a day of skiing without any major injuries!!
not sure if I am more excited that the kids go back to school, or husband goes back to work!!!!! why are they all underfoot when home on vacation when rest of year they want nothing to do with me??
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone Sue... or Anonymous! This will be my first day off without kids/hubby/work since June. I guess I should break out the bon bons, turn on the soaps and put my feet up. Right, I was left a 'honey do' list!
ReplyDeletedoesn't it just figure that I end up with a sick kid today??? doesn't he know that today was the day I planned on catching up on soaps all day???!!! ugh!! after dragging him all around to do errands, at least now he knows that I don't just sit around all day.....maybe should make husband tag along someday too......
ReplyDeleteHey TOS, Anonymous and Tracey...
ReplyDeleteI spent my first day alone in 2 weeks having a mammogram - well how much fun is that???
Anyway, STILL better than trying to entertain the kids for another day. Also caught up on laundry.
OMG - my life is pathetic!!
at least hope you had some fabulously hot man handling your boobs today.....if you're gonna have to do it - they should at least make it a bit appealing.....
ReplyDeletetracey....where do you get your mamograms? When i get mine, they are from a woman with cold hands, a heavy foot an the squish pedal and after she looks at the initial film always frowns and asks "do you have kids?" with a frown. Very reassuring!
ReplyDeleteoh - sorry if I misled you, I do not go to the hospital, doctors office, etc for my mammograms - I usually try to hit up the local bars and ask around there if there is a man available to feel me up..... works every time.....
