NEW Parent Pill Web Show!!

Yes, it's finally here. The new & improved PARENT PILL Web Show! We've done a little retooling. These are 5-minute shows that focus on one topic - our goal is to provide a dose of humor while still being informative and talking about issues that interest our readers. Please comment below - we'd love to hear topics that interest you, or if you'd like to share your experiences or be a guest. Just COMMENT - we will read every one and respond - I promise!

Okay, so the set is my living room...for now! Eventually we will have a very fancy set designer and some swell sponsors. We're working on it.

Let us know what you think. More tomorrow. Good night everyone!

dear sue and tracy - I have been working at market basket for years and there are definately opportunities there for employment if you are serious about this.....I bag groceries and am very accurate with my bagging - even if someone tries to bag their own groceries I promptly take everything out and re-bag - everything has a place and only I know where that is. If Tracy really wants a job I can train her - I am sure this will help her in her long term career goals -it has helped me, although I am still not head bagger - but I am working my way up to that. Keep the blogs coming - they reassure me that I am doing the right thing with my life - this bagging business is certainly gratifying....

I have a pole I can add to the set if you think that would spice things up.....

  3. Dear Sheila,
Although I often avoid your line, I know that you are a hard worker and take your job very seriously. I also appreciate that my eggs are never broken and my cantalopes come home perfect.

  4. Dear Kittens Manager,
Perhaps Tracey would demonstrate how the pole is used. She often refers to it in the show and I think she secretly wants to dance at Kittens. If the teaching thing or the photography business doesnt' work out, it will give her the back up she is seeking.

Loved your first show, I am less interested in getting back to work than in seeing that hot husband of yours named Tom

    Sue,
I liked this topic and appreciate your insight to this. Here is my only additional comment that women need to consider when they leave and or return to the workforce - your retirement savings!!! If you left the workforce to raise your kids, what did you do with your 401k plan? Do you have a brokerage account? Have you found a way to either continue contributing while you are at home/working part time or are you aware of how critical it is to MAXIMIZE your contributions when you get back to work and did you know that you could be eligible for something called "catch-up" contributions if you are over 50 and returning to work after several years at home (e.g., mom's who now have an empty nest)? Just some thoughts. I'm not a true financial expert per se (though I work in the industry) but women need to have a plan for retirement, plain and simple. Don't rely on your husband and certainly not the government. Motherhood is still not a paying gig (unfortunately) but it doesn't mean you shouldn't have a plan. Just my 2 cents (with interest).

maybe you want to discuss dealing with the school systems, when your child has a problem such as mental health issues. I have to tell you its frustrating and I know alot of people are feeling the stress.

    Hay Ladies,

I know Tom is hot...but I think you need a little help with your production. Especially the camera holding part, if you need a tripod I have a few you can use...lol...got a little dizzy whoa!

And Sheila can bag my groceries anytime! Also bet she Could show you two a thing or two about Baggin!

like the New LIVE part, but hopefully you'll keep this light and funny...I know you want to be Oprah...but more Dr Phil's we realy don't need...keep us laughing ladies!

  11. You're right Joanne-
We are still trying to tweak the show and come up with the right balance of useful info and comic relief. A little more funny is probably a good suggestion. We all need a little more funny in our lives.
