It's been a tough few days for me. I decided to get a second opinion from the folks at Mass General on my breast biopsy and - as I suspected - they got a different diagnosis. They found one tiny area of DCIS, which is the beginning stages of cancer. Not the answer I was looking for but at least I have confidence in this diagnosis. Fortunately, it's very small and very early. I'm told it's very treatable. Tom & I have a meeting with the specialists on Thursday. I'll know what I'm facing then in terms of treatment and preventitive procedures. Meantime, please keep me in your prayers.
This is a tough post for me because I'm used to being light and funny. I guess, even in times like these, it's important to keep a sense of humor. I am very fortunate to have an army of friends who are supportive - many have been in similar situations so I am in very good company. I love my girlfriends..thank you!!So...we here in the Northeast are bracing for quite a snowstorm. I was done with winter a month ago so I'm not happy. I'm sure the kids will be home from school and we'll all be shoveling out for days. I want to go to the Bahamas - once I'm through this "storm" (figuratively and literally) I'm booking a trip. Hey, life's too short and it's only money, right? Okay it' a lot of money but at this very moment, I don't care. Can you blame me?

thinking of you - call after your appointment today if you are feeling up to it - I'd take you to Aculpocos if I wasn't afraid of food poisining again - how about a reputible margarita joint? Good luck today! Look on the bright side - now a tummy tuck (like you need it!) is an option!!!
