Raving & Caving

Hi friends,

First of all, I guess I'll only be a runner up again for Mother of the Year. I become a raving lunatic this afternoon upon discovering that my children and their friends had decided to dig a large hole in our front lawn. I know, where was I? Inside the house, apparently not paying enough attention. But with an 11 and 9-year-old you can get a little lazy. And being girls, they generally don't get into that kind of trouble; it's usually petty fights about not getting a turn at four-square or using each other's scooters without asking or looking at each other cross-eyed. But whose idea was this? Did I mention they added a few buckets of water so that it became a mud pit. Fun!

Next, I have to come clean because Tom and I finally caved. The girls have been asking for their own e-mails forever and we finally agreed. They have their own little gmail accounts with cute little names so they can write senseless emails to their friends, just like adults. We said no to the "chat" option though so we are still mean and want our kids to "look like dorks." That's always been a huge goal of mine.

Hey, I exercised TWO DAYS in a row and I hate exercising!! I'm so darn proud of myself. I'm trying to get ready for the 6-mile walk to benefit the North Shore Cancer Center. I ALREADY RAISED A THOUSAND BUCKS!! Thanks to all who donated - I'm hoping to raise even more. And if I exercise again tomorrow I am going to alert the media.

Back to Idol - I think Adam is the most talented but I'm rooting for Kris.
