On Cars, Cameras and Fresh-Cut Lawns

So I woke up this morning and I feel really happy because it's the weekend and I only have 2 more radiation treatments and I slept really well last night because I have a bad cold and I'm finally on antibiotics and my lawn is freshly cut and it's only two weeks until I go to Aruba and my husband got paid yesterday and I'm getting my windows professionally cleaned today and this is my blog and I can have a run-on sentence if I want to.

I'm happy as a pig in poop.

In other news...
Anyone know of a good digital camera in the $200-$300 dollar range? I've heard the Canon powershot is decent. Our camera broke and we're looking to get a new one before our trip. Give me your best reviews...just hit "comment" below. I'd love to hear from you. Only options I'd really like are a 3" LCD and touchscreen. (just like a girl isn't it?)

My hubby's car should finally be ready today. Just one month after paying it off - well you guessed it - crash, boom, bang - and $4,600 worth of damage. It's been in the shop for 2 and 1/2 weeks now but we own the bastard child so it's coming home.

I told you in my last blog that I'm getting back in gear and starting to exercise (a little). I've decided to form a team and walk in the North Shore Medical Center's Cancer Walk on June 21st. It's a 10k or 6 miles. My kids are excited because they are involved (they've been whining about not being included in our celebratory trip to Aruba) so I think it will give them a sense of purpose in all this. If anyone would like to support me, just click on the 'firstgiving' widget at the top left of this post, you can donate safely online. As you all know, it's a cause that has become personally relevant for me and I want to do what I can to raise some money to eradicate this beast.

Okay, time to stop ignoring my family who are asking me to make waffles in the waffle maker. Mom is back on duty. Enjoy your day.

    Hi Sue,
I love my new camera. It is a Canon Powershot 1100IS. It is so much easier to use than the previous Canon (A70 and A90) cameras we had. Not sure about the screen size but I know it does not have touch screen but I don't mind that. There are so few controls to work it that you won't miss it. It's small but not too small for holding and taking pix. And - according to one website it's less than $200 - without a sale. So could be less.
Have a great vacation! And pre-congrats on nearing the finish line.
