The Guys Weigh In...

Our resident Dad, Michael Katz, will be a guest contributor.

Went to parent’s night last night for my son’s 4th grade class. He’s our third in a series (collect them all) so nothing new for my wife and me, but creepy all the same.

Something about sitting in those little desks with signs and maps and posters and integers on every wall in every direction makes me nervous. I keep thinking I’m going to get called on by the teacher, and since I (naturally) didn’t do the homework, I won’t have a clue.

You know what they need at these parent’s nights? Yep, alcohol. I’m not saying a lot, but enough so that when your kid’s 4th grade teacher starts explaining the procedure for submitting an early dismissal note, you’ve at least got something to hold onto.

Next week is middle school parent's night. At least the desks will be bigger.
