Look I understand how fabulous they are for kids. My kids own them and live in them. They are great because they can get dirty and you can hose them off; they can double as water shoes,; they're great on field trips; they have holes so the kids feet can breathe; they can wear them for the duration of two full shoe sizes. I'm sold.
But for adults? If you are a teacher, a dental hygienist or a nurse, I totally get it. You're on your feet all day with the high probability of some bodily fluid landing on your shoes. Yes, perfectly logical.
But if you are an adult who just wears them because they are comfortable, please know this: they are unattractive and make you look frumpy. I'm just being honest. Comfort isn't everything - I think a pillowcase is comfortable but I'm not going to cut arm holes in one and wear it as a shirt.
I'm not advocating that you buy a pair of stilletto heels, but there are plenty of cute flats that are comfortable and flattering. I'm just saying there are ways to balance comfort and fashion without looking like you just got off a tractor.
Okay Croc lovers, I'm ready for the hate mail.
Okay, bakers can wear Crocs, too.
