Katie Blogs About Mom

This post is an installment from a very special Parent Pill contributor - my 11-year-old daughter, Katie. I am being brave enough to let her take over the keyboard. Yeah, crazy, I know.

Do you ever wonder if your parents are doing something crazy? Or is it normal?
Question #1: My mom spends alot of time on her computer, particularly on this blog, and shows up 20 minutes after dinner when Emma (my nine year old sister) and I have moved on to a seprate course, the most important course.. dessert. How much time do you spend on your computer?

90% of my time, who could possibly live without one.
50% of my time, there pretty useful.
10% of my time, only when I need to, I'd rather do something else.

Moving on to one of the more important questions...reality TV

Question#2: My dearest mother also is a little (giant) fan of Dancing with the Stars. She sits on the edge of her seat hoping with all her might that Brooke won't get voted off. Do you watch Dancing with the Stars?

Of course, go Brooke!
If I come across it, sure.
Dancing with the Stars= boring, whats up with Samantha's hair?
My mom is always offering to feature herself as a dancer in my school's talent show. You can only guess my logical answer would be absolutely not.

Question#3
Does your mother dance and sing?

Of course! She would sing at any moment of any day.
She sings occasionally at home in private
She barley ever sings, not even in the shower

And the last thing my mom does is always comes home with something new. My sister and I pull my mother past the shoe department in Macy's and cover her eyes (we also pull her by the purses.)

Question#4
Does your mother have shopping problems?

Of course!
Occasionally
Not really

If you're answer was the first one on more than two questions then you have a little case of the quirks like my mother, but better then having someone who hides. Overall I love my mom and think she has a great sense of humor.

Well Katiekins....think you have a future in writing!! When this blog gets to be too much for mom, you can take it over - would LOVE to see what you do with the webasodes.....maybe invite the babarino girls over for a little fun?! Personally I would love to see your mom dance at the talent show - then my kids won't be as mortified to see me up there belting out "I'm a little bit country" - I know, that comment is over your head....but 30 years.....Loved reading your blog input - can't wait to see what Em's writes now!!!!!

  2. Oh no, I have to let Emma write a post now? Haven't I endured enough abuse?
