I am alive and kicking but have been a bit delinquent with my postings because I've been having so much fun with these radiation treatments. Whoa - what a party. My friend Anne Elise gave me the best advice which is to focus on telling the technicians some fascinating stories about myself so they will like me best and bring me chocolate. I'm still waiting for the chocolate, perhaps I'm not fascinating enough.

Speaking of my husband, he had an article in the Sunday Globe Magazine yesterday. I've been writing for years and he gets the Globe - go figure! Actually, he's a great writer without even trying all that hard. Okay, now I'm starting to get a little bitter...
Might join Planet Fitness for a dollar - someone talk me out of it. I hate exercising but I am on a new kick to keep my body perfectly healthy (for obvious reasons). Come on, you know I won't actually go...quick, someone stop me!!

Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteSaw Tom's article also, I may be a softie, but I think he's being a little stubborn. Too much control sometimes breeds acting out against the authority. Just a thought.
Hell no!! Do NOT give those girls a cell phone!!! Do you know what that would do to MY household??!! All I would hear is, "K/E's mom got her a cellphone! You are the MEANEST mom in the world!!!!" (of course I am currently at that position since I am apparently the only mom who will not pay for a subscription to Club Penguin!!!!
ReplyDeletewe are fighting the war against email. seriously, what do they need email for at age 10? It doesn't get the room clean, the flute practiced or the homework done. (Not even as a bribe for the email priveledge) I think we need to bring back writing notes in study hall that you fold into triangle 'footballs'that you pass secrectly to your friends. Or carrier pigeons. P.S. You hang tough Tom!
ReplyDeleteHi Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree sometimes he is stubborn, I'm a bit more soft. But he has a point about the whole entitlement thing. Kids today do get a whole lot of stuff. It's a fine balance to strike. I think we are all working on trying to get it right. Thanks for your comment.
