Sunny Outlook

It's amazing what a forecast of a few sunny, warm days can do for your spirits. It's 6am and I'm feeling so energized because it's going to be gorgeous for the next several days. 80s gorgeous. And it's the weekend. I'll take it!! I'm also feeling relieved that we have a weekend that is not jam packed with activities - there is nothing better than waking up knowing you can do...whatever!

I'm off today so I'm planning to take the girls over to my friends and let them ride bikes and scooter while we sit in lawn chairs and read trashy magazines filled with useless celebrity gossip. The fact that I should be writing a column or cleaning my house will make it that much more fun.

Oh, my husband is driving around in a convertible - which I hope he doesn't get too used to. He was in an accident Wed night (he's fine) and his car is in the shop for what looks like awhile so this was "the only car they had available." Yeah, not bad timing right. The girls are all jazzed up about it.

My parents are on their way back to Florida today - we had a nice visit. They will be back for the summer (they stay in the Berkshires) so we'll see them again in July. We had a little impromptu surprise party for my dad last night and he got a kick out of it - his 70th birthday. My parents have been married 48 years and they still adore each other. I love that.

Okay, time to get in the shower and start my day. Have a great weekend. Do something remarkable.
