The Helicopter Brigade

"Among the most powerful weapons in the war against the helicopter brigade is the explosion of websites where parents can confide, confess and affirm their sense that lowering expectations is not the same as letting your children down."

I love this excerpt from a Time.com article that really is the heart of Parent Pill. It's about lowering expectations for ourselves as parents and taking some of the needless pressure off, and undertanding that our kids will not suffer. In fact, it could be argued that they will be better off. This article is a bit lengthy and was written a few months ago but definitely worth the read.

It is why I'm investing time in this blog. And it is why I'm writing what I hope will turn into a book on the subject. I will share some of that with all of you in the coming weeks to get your feedback and input.

Rainy here in the Northeast but supposed to be in the 70s later this week and for Easter. Good news.

Enjoy your Monday by scheduling something fun to look forward to this weekend!
